Cotton is one of the most important and extensively grown crops in India. Among many cardinal factors responsible for lower yield, diseases and insects are major factors which take a heavy toll of the crop every year, Grower often mixes insecticides and fungicides to control both insects and fungal diseases simultaneously and also to reduce the cost of application; but quite often the combinations are not compatible and result in loss of yield. Butani (1971) advocated that the combination sprays withinsecticides and fungicides were essential for the disease control. As the data are lacking in this line of research, an experiment was conducted to find out the compatibility of some of the commonly used synthetic pyrethroids and a fungicide (Copper oxychloride) against Alternaria and Myrothecium leaf spot diseases of cotton.
