Underground Existence of Research in Chemistry in Two-Year College Programs

摘要

In 1966 I moved from a faculty position as an instructor at a baccalaureate-granting institution to a position of similar rank at a community college in the City University of New York (CUNY) system.Two things that were different about the community college position were a significant increase in my teaching load and a lack of expectation by my colleagues that I would conduct research for my scholarly pursuits and for the enrichment of the education of students.
