Another step forward: Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology special issue for electrophysiology research from China.

摘要

It is a great pleasure to see the special issue for cardiac electrophysiology research from China finally has been published. The idea for this special issue came to light about 2 years ago. We are thankful to Professor Prystowsky's and the publisher Wiley-Blackwell's continuous support for this project. With a population of 1.3 billion, it must be interesting to know what is going on in the field of cardiac electro-physiology in China. Indeed, Chinese physicians are eager to demonstrate their research results to the world just as every scholar wants to do. For multiple reasons, it is still very difficult for a Chinese physician to get his/her manuscript published in an English-language journal. Several years ago, we introduced the Chinese edition ofJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology (JCE) to China so that our physicians could much more easily note what was going on outside of China. Now, an English special issue is surely another step forward. Here we would also like to thank Professor Congxin Huang, Professor Changsheng Ma, and Professor C.P. Lau, whose efforts contributed greatly to the publication of this issue
