Vale (Brazil) posts 15% increase in iron ore production

Brazil's Vale increased the output of iron ore to 80.5 mt in Q2 (up 15% from the previous quarter), thanks to the recovery of production after the rainy season. However, the figure is almost unchanged from the same period of 2011. The best results have been achieved at Northern System (Carajas project) and Southern System (Minas Itabirito, Vargem Grande and Paraopebas projects).
