South Korean import market for ferrous scrap is rather quiet this week. Traders only discuss the recent deal withJapanese suppliers. As previously reported, last week Hyundai Steel said it was ready to pay JPY 34,500/t FOB($428/t FOB, $1 = JPY 80.557) for Japanese HMS 2 and then raised the bid to JPY 35,000/t ($434/t) FOB. Untilrecently market participants believed that suppliers rejected both bids.
