Sweden’s SSAB, following the general European trend, has embarked on the path of strengthening positions in the segment of steel for automotive applications in conditions of toughening environmental norms in the EU. Introduction of new environmental standards in Europe is forcing automotive concerns to find the ways of reducing emissions of carbon dioxide and develop fuel-saving technologies.
