Shagang Group, the largest non-state-owned steel producer in China, posted a four-fold increase in its net profit over the first six months of 2014 as compared to the same period last year. The figure soared by 297% to RMB 34.96 million ($5.67 million). The company’s report states the success is attributed to new sales markets and manufacture of new products.
