Voestalpine’s HBI plant in USA nears completion

Austria’s Voestalpine has completed over 66% of a reduction tower within a 2 million tpy HBI plantconstruction at the site near Corpus Christi, Texas (USA). Besides, the company has already accomplishedthe port facilities construction. The first vessel expected to arrive in July will deliver ship unloading craneswhich will be installed in the port. The equipment erection will be completed by late 2015 with the commissioningscheduled for Q1 2016.
