Export prices in the Chinese HR sheets and coils market are still flat, buoyed by firm prices for import iron ore and much better demand in SE Asia. Moreover, Chinese exporters are already closing some deals at the higher level announced early in the month. Rizhao Steel has concluded a contract for HR sheet grade SS400 made to JIS G3101 with Philippine buyers early this week at $520/t FOB ($540/t CFR), which corresponds to initial levels, Metal Expert hears.
