China’s Shandong Iron and Steel Rizhao contracts BLT charging systems for new plant

China’s Shandong Iron and Steel Rizhao has contracted Luxembourg’s Paul Wurth for supply of twoBell Less Top charging systems for its two BFs (8.5 million tpy in total) at the new flats plant under constructionin Rizhao, Shandong Province. The BFs with inner volume of 5,100 cu m and capacity of 11,500 tpdis scheduled for commissioning in 2017 and 2018. These furnaces will be the largest ones ever equippedwith a Central Feed BLT, the contractor says in its statement.
