摘要

Machining performance is one of the most important features of waterborne biopolymer labelling adhesives.Various defomation processeson the labelling machine have ben analysed in realtion to the rheology characteristics of adhesive materials to haveparticular properties under both shear and extensional defrmations.Flow behaviours of commerical labellign adhesive products were tested over a very wide range of shear rate.Time dependences of th eapparent shear viscosity were examined t selectedshear rates.an adhesive with a smooth flow behaviour and only slight itme dependnece tends to perform better on the labellign machine.Results found in this work can be sued as guide for rheology assessment in the development of new waterborne biopolymer adhesives.
