摘要

Surface modification of ceria-zirconia mixed oxides was carried out with potassium or sodium chlorides in air at 1273 K for 1 h, which was denoted as 'chemical filing process.' After the treatment, the modified ceria-zirconia solid solutions released oxygen at lower temperatures than those given by the samples without the modification. The oxygen release and storage properties of the chemically filed samples have been maintained even after reduction and reoxidation at 1273 K many times, indicating the durability of the redox activities.
