摘要

Larvicidal activities of hexane, ethyl acetate and methanol extracts of Justicia adhatoda, Murraya koenigii and Anisomeles malabarica against third instar larvae of dengue vector mosquito, Aedes aegypti have been evaluated under controlled conditions.The mortality was observed 24 hours after treatment, and data were subjected to EPA Probit analysis for calculating LC50 and LC90. The hexane extract of M. koenigii showed highest mortality with the LC50 values 16.96 against the test larvae, followed byhexane extract of A. malabarica (LCso=69.54) and methanolic extract of J. adhatoda (LCso=75.30). From this result it can be concluded the hexane extract of M. koenigii has an excellent potential for controlling Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae.
