CONFIDENCE INTERVALS FOR QUANTILES USING RECORD VALUES FROM THE GENERALIZED EXPONENTIAL DISTRIBUTION

摘要

Likelihood-based and bootstrap confidence intervals for the quantiles of the generalized exponential distribution based on record values are developed. Intervals for the difference of quantiles based on two independent samples are also considered. Simulation studies are carried out to investigate and compare the performance of the intervals.
