摘要

The single scattering albedo (coo) and its wavelength dependence are one of the key parameters allowing the calculation of the direct aerosol radiative forcing.It is the ratio between the scattering coefficient and the extinction coefficient omega_0 = sigma_(SP)/(SIGMA_(SP) + SIGMA_(AP)) and describes the fraction of the light extinction due to scattering.It can be determined from measurements of scattering and absorption coefficients.Since March 2001,both coefficients are measured at several wavelengths at the high-alpine research station of the Jungfraujoch.The wavelength dependence of the single scattering albedo can therefore be estimated,as well as the influences of different types of aerosol such as mineral dust on all coefficients.
