Program Accomplishments: October I, 2008 - September 30,2009

Because of your generous contributions, Native Seeds/SEARCH celebrated many successes in 2009. The past year evidenced the great local, regional, national, and global needs that Native Seeds/SEARCH fulfills. People were motivated to grow their own food in their backyards as a result, in part, of a struggling economy. New gardeners and experienced farmers alike secured high-quality seeds from NS/S that are adapted to the challenging growing conditions of the Southwest. This growing movement was not limited to people in the Southwest; people from Asia and Africa also sought crops that will prosper in changing climates and turned to NS/S for the precious resources we conserve.
