TMS Board Forms Committees to Review ICME, Meeting Co-sponsorship

Among materials societies, TMS has taken a lead role in the area of integrated computational materials engineering (ICME), according to a recent report by the National Academies. With programming, publications, and a web presence, TMS has worked for several years to advance the cause of ICME. In July, the TMS Board of Directors voted to continue those efforts by creating a new ad hoc committee to determine where the society should direct its efforts in this growing field of study.
