For users, a number of advantages are associated with the utilisation of infrared welding technology for the serial welding of door panelling. Infrared welding serves to achieve the highest possible strengths which are demanded particularly in the case of side airbags and with regard to an improvement in the crash behaviour. Continuous welding lines instead of a lot of riveted spots prevent any marks on the A side. The procedure is suitable for a wider spectrum of different materials and material combinations.
