摘要

Experimental and numerical investigations on crack initiation under transient loading, crack propagation behaviour and crack arrest of 17 MoV 8 4 (mod.) using fracture mechanics methods are described. Results of Split-Hopkinson-bar-tests using a single-specimen method and a high-speed camera are compared with multi specimen results and values obtained from other specimens and load velocities.
