Petrobras, partners make new find in Santos Basin

THE CONSORTIUM FORMED by Petrobras, BG and Repsol YPF to explore block BM-S-9, located in ultra-deep Santos Basin waters, proved the existence of yet another field bearing light oil in pre-salt reservoirs. The block is composed of two exploratory areas. Well 1-BRSA-491-SPS was built in the first and larger one, informally called Carioca, and resulted in the discovery announced on 5 September 2007.
