Dairen chem to start up phenol, BPA plants in taiwan by 2004

After lengthy deliberations, Dairen Chemical, a member of the leading Taiwanese chemical manufacturer Changchun Petrochemical Group, has decided to go ahead with investments in new phenol and bisphenol A (BPA) plants. The plants will be located in Kaoshiung, instead of the previously intended location of Mailiao, and propylene will be supplied from China Petrochemical Corp. (CPC).
