Notes on Three Japanese Species of the Genus Cidaphus Forster. 1869 (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae: Mesochorinae)

Cidaphus areolatus (Boie, 1850) and C. koreensis Lee, 1991， are newly recorded from Japan. C. atricillus (Haliday, 1839) is newly recorded from Honshu. Male of C. koreensis is newly described. A key to Japanese species of Cidaphus is also provided.The genus Cidaphus Forster, 1869, is a small taxon in the ichneumonid subfamily Mesochorinae, containing 20 described species (Yu et al., 2012). The genus is found in the all biogeographical regions except for the Antarctic region, and six species have been known from the Palearctic region. This genus is secondary parasitoids, developing as solitary endoparasitoids of primary endoparasitoids, Ichneumonidae (Hymenoptera) and Tachinidae (Diptera), of lepidoptera (Lee, 1991).
