Conference Report: First Middle East Drying Conference, Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz & Rahavaran Fonoon Petrochemical Company, Mahshahr, Iran, February 19-20, 2012

摘要

Due to increasing interest in the field of drying, Shahid Chamran University and Rahavaran Fonoon Petrochemical Company decided to organize the First Middle East Drying Conference, MEDC2012. This was the first event of its kind in the Middle East countries and offered a platform for exchange of recent theoretical and experimental knowledge in the multidisciplinary field of drying. World-recognized researchers in drying processes and products gave keynote lectures on current technologies and future activities in drying R&D and design to comply with the new issues on environmental impact, product quality and energy utilization. The topics covered both innovative technologies and commercial dryers with applications, limitations and solutions for improved performance. MEDC2012 provided a forum to establish collaborative networks for personnel from research centers, industry and academia. MEDC2012 attracted 132 participants from different parts of industry and 80 from universities.
