Ti-5Al-2.5Sn and 1Cr18Ni9Ti tubes are brazed by Ag-28Cu-5Mn-2.5Ni filler metal in the argon shield environment using high frequency induction brazing process. The brazed quality and properties of brazed joints are tested, and the microstructures of soldered joints are observed. The result indicates that the brazed of all the brazed joints are over 90%, and all the joints can endure the experence of liquid press testing and air pressure testing. All the brazed joints are raptured from 1Cr18Ni9Ti tube in the tensile test. Based on the microstructure analysis, good bonded qualities between the brazing filler metal and two base metals (Ti-5Al-2.5Sn and 1Cr18Ni9Ti) are obtained, no flaw appears in the brazed joint, no inter-compound is formed at the interface between the filler metal and 1Cr18Ni9Ti, and very thin compound layer is from at the interface between the filler metal and Ti-5Al-2.5Sn, but has no bad effect on the properties of brazed joints. The results are generally essential for the bonding of dissimilar materials such as Titanium alloy and Stainless Steel etc.
