Short communication: case report on adulterated opium-induced severe lead toxicity

摘要

An outbreak of lead intoxication from regular users of marijuana has been recently reported, in which elemental lead was deliberately added as an adulterant (Busse et al., 2008). It is not clear, however, whether this was an isolated issue or a general trend. This case report is aimed to recognize the impact of lead adulteration for opioid abuse and state the clinical course of the disease.
