The Georgia Tall Fescue Breeding Program is described. It is designed to extend the USA tall fescue (Festuca arundinacea) growing zone southward by developing tall fescues that are adapted to conditions in the southern USA, including multiple stresses from heat, humidity and edaphic constraints.
