A low-viscosity monomer, 2-(acryloyloxy)ethyl pyrrolidine-1-carboxylate (AEPC), was synthesized using a non-isocyanate route. The photopolymerization kinetics were monitored by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy with a horizontal sample holder. The results indicated that AEPC had a high UV curing rate and final double bond conversion, which could reach 99.5% within 30 s. The T_g of 2-(acryloyloxy)ethyl pyrrolidine-1-carboxylate/CN964 (1:4, w/w) and isobornyl acrylate/CN964 (1:4, w/w) was 43 and 57°C, respectively. The cross-link density of 2-(acryloyloxy)ethyl pyrrolidine- l-carboxylate/CN964 (1:4, w/w) was higher than that of isobornyl acrylate/CN964 (1:4, w/w).
