Exponential Estimates for Eigenfunctions of Matrix EllipticDifferential Operators and Limit Operators

The basic goal of this paper is to derive exponentialestimates for eigenfunctions of matrix elliptic differential operators on . We show that these estimates are related to the essential spectra of differential operators from some family depending on the original operator and an exponential weight describing the behavior of the eigenfunctions at infinity. The essential spectrum is described using limit operators.
