Acute Chest Pain

摘要

The quantitative problem of the symptom ,,acute chest pain" relates to the large number of patients on the one hand and to the amount of underlying causes on the other hand. It is very important in the management of patients with chest pain or discomfort to quickly identify high risk patients with a life-threatening disorder and to initiate adequate emergency therapy as soon as possible (qualitative problem). Patients suffering from other less serious disorders associated with chest pain, can be managed without high priority. Therefore syndromes and diseases with potential poor prognosis are in the focus of this paper.
