BIG POWER FROM CUMMINS: Cummins Power Generation launches new high-horsepower generator sets based on QSK95 diesel

Three years after first unveiling the largest homegrown diesel engine in its history, Cummins is putting it to work in power generation. Cummins Power Generation, the Minneapolis, Minn.-headquartered subsidiary of Cummins Inc., is launching the QSK95 Series high-performance generator sets, its most powerful diesel generator sets offered to date. The new units offer ratings to 3500 kW at 60 Hz and 3750 kVa at 50 Hz. They are engineered to provide the highest kilowatt per square foot ratio in their class, the company said, resulting in a smaller footprint that achieves a 20% improvement in power density.
