A growing yet still relatively modest fueling infrastructure remains one of the key reasons compressed natural gas (CNG) hasn't been more widely adopted in the transportation and vehicular markets. Indeed, even with the booming interest it has as a vehicle fuel, there are still fewer than 600 natural gas vehicle refueling stations in the U.S. today.
