Power-Gen Provides Stage For New Atlas Copco Gen-Sets

The Power-Gen International tradeshow in Orlando, Fla., in December will provide the stage for the preview of Atlas Copeo's new QAS 20 and QAS 45 generators. The gen-sets join a lineup of generators book-ended by Atlas Copco's QAS 14 and QAS 1000 models with 14 and 1000 kVA outputs. The QAS 20 model is the smaller of the two gen-set introductions from the company at 15.8 kW (19.8 kVA). It is powered by an Tier 4 Interim Kubota V2403M-BG diesel engine rated 22 hp at 1800 rpm. The engine has four cylinders, a 2.4 L displacement and is mated with a Stamford Newage BCII84-E1 alternator.
