CARB READIES FOR OFF-ROAD REGS: California's In-Use Off-Road Diesel Vehicle regulation ramps up for 2009 early action program provides bankable retrofit credits

While CARB's In-Use Off-Road Diesel Vehicle regulation does not effectively require action until 2009, the regulation has recently been passed into legislation and will require off-road equipment 25 hp and above operating in the state of California to be retrofitted with emissions control devices or replaced with newer, cleaner machines. In the interim to 2009, CARB has been busy educating, training and preparing the industry for the spring and -summer start dates of the regulation.
