Chongqing Haibo Magnesium. Smelting Co., Ltd. invested 30 million yuan to build up a 3,000tpy magnesium alloy and 10,000tpy magnesium production base in Wansheng District of Chongqing. Chongqing is rich in dolomite resources. But experts analyze that Chongqing is not suitable for magnesium smelting because of the moist climate in the region and high content of calcium sodium in the dolomite Chongqing consumes nearly 10,000 tonnes of magnesium per year and all of the magnesium is purchased from Shanxi, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia and other provinces autonomous regions.
