ISHS Progress and Future Planning: Highlights of the 2005 Board and Executive Committee Meetings, Lillehammer, Norway

Each annual meeting of the ISHS Executive Committee (EC), involving the Board and Chairs of all ISHS Sections and Commissions, is planned several years in advance. The invitation to host the June 2005 meeting came in 2002 from the ISHS Council membersfor Norway, Professor Roar Moe of the Agricultural University of Norway and Dr. Lars Sekse of the Ullensvang Research Centre of Planteforsk, It was purposely scheduled to overlap the Fifth International Symposium on Artificial Lighting that was held atthe same venue in picturesque Lillehammer. As is normal practice, the ISHS Board met independently just ahead of the EC meeting. Every meeting room detail, tour and social event was carefully planned and executed by our Norwegian hosts - the result being a very productive and enjoyable week for all Symposium participants and Society leaders.
