September Groundbreaking for T&T DME Plant

Trinidad & Tobago Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar will attend a groundbreaking ceremony in early September for the construction of a $6 billion dimethyl ether (DME) project in La Brea. The Mitsubishi-led project will convert natural gas into one million tonnes per year (TPY) of methanol and 20,000 TPY of dimethyl ether. The project investment ratio follows: Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company Inc. (MGC, 26.25%), Mitsubishi Corporation (MC, 26.25%), Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (17.5%), National Gas Company (20%), and Massy (10%).
