Shell and Qatar to Build Chinese Complex with CNPC Cooperation

Following the signing of a cooperation agreement with China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), Qatar Petroleum and Shell will implement a proposed refinery and petrochemical complex in Taizhou, China. The project is expected to cost US$10 billion, and will include a 400,000 barrel-per-day refinery and 1.2 million-tonne-per-year ethylene complex, OilVoice reported on Jan. 19.
