Saudi Methanol has suspended operations at its 1.7 million t/y Ar-Razi V methanol plant in Al-Jubail SjiuiiLAxabia to fix technical issues, a source at Saudi Basic Industries Corporation, its parent company, said, according to a July 8 report by ICIS News. The company will likely keep the plant closed for two weeks while working on the issue. In April the plant had nearly a month-long maintenance, forcing die company to cut spot sales of methanol at the time.
