CNOOC, Datong Build Chinese Coal-To-Gas Plants

A unit of China National Offshore Oil Corp (CNOOC) plans to build a $4.39 billion, 4 ' billion cu. m/y SNG plant that will also produce oil products and other chemical products in partnership with Datong Coal Mine Group, the Datong city government said.The firms will produce the coal-based SNG along with diesel, gasoline and other chemical products. CNOOC inked a framework agreement with the Datong city government and a letter of intent with Datong Coal Mine Group on the joint construction of an SNG project.
