With the November 4 announcement that China Petroleum and Chemical Corp (Sinopec) has reached a preliminary deal for offtake of some 2 million metric tons per year from the 13.2 million metric ton ExxonMobil-led Papua New Guinea (PNG) LNG project, analysts are growing more confident that the final investment decision (FID) will be positive.
