US LNG Export Development Full Speed Ahead

Dear Reader: In this issue, we learn of the authorization by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) of the application by Cameron LNG to export LNG from its South Louisiana terminal to non-free trade agreement (FTA) nations. The project is the fifth associated with an existing import terminal to receive non-FTA export authority. Others include Cheniere's Sabine Pass (2.2 billion cubic feet per day, bcfd); Freeport LNG (1.8 bcfd); Lake Charles (2.0 bcfd); and Dominion Cove Point (0.77 bcfd).
