With Iran, Israel and Cyprus, Middle East reemerges on LNG export stage

Dear Client, In this issue, we see renewed optimism for growth of LNG export capacity in the Middle East. While Qatar remains the world's dominant exporter, supplying more than 30 percent of global LNG in 2011, capacity additions from the region have been flat for years. Other Middle Eastern exporters account for less than nine percent of world trade. Promises of new capacity have been delayed by geopolitics. Recent developments, however, promise to reverse this trend.
