Mashal LNG challenged again

Pakistan's Ministry of Finance and Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) have reservations about the proposed US$330 million Mashal LNG project that would import approximately 800 million cubic feet (roughly 16,000 tonnes of LNG) a day. The project was cancelled in 2010 when GDF Suez was awarded a tender. Under the new plan, the terminal would be constructed to allow two companies, one from Turkey and one from South Korea, to import LNG for 10 years.
