A number of top officials of Anhui province recently paid a visit to headquarters of Chalco to discuss building an aluminum smelter with capacity of 300,000tpy in Hefei city, the capital of the province. The province will commit Anhui Provincial Energy Corporation to work with Chalco on the aluminum project. Furthermore, the province will also provide other preferential conditions for Chalco to develop the aluminum business.
