Pingguo aluminum says Stage 3 alumina project ongoing well

Construction of the Stage 3 alumina project with capacity of 880,000tpy has been underway smoothly since the project was launched in December 2005, according to sources from Pingguo Aluminum Plant, the joint venture between Alcoa and Chalco. The planned investment in the project is 4.6 billion yuan(USD579 million). The project is scheduled to come online in July 2008.
