Pertamina, PLN sign major gas sales agreement

Pertamina and Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) have signed a major gas sales agreement in a plan to boost development of local economies in Indonesia, Jakarta Globe reported. Pertamina will regasify LNG at the Arun plant in Aceh. PLN will supply the plant 1 million tonnes of LNG per year from the Tangguh plant in West Papua. PLN signed a gas purchase agreement with Badak, NGL, the consortium behind the Tangguh plant, in December 2012.
