CNOOC building largest LNG transfer terminal

China's CNQQC Gas and Power Group has signed an agreement to build the country's largest LNG transfer terminal in North China, Sino-ship News reported. The project includes building a floating LNG transfer terminal with an annual receiving capacity of 1.5 million tonnes. The first phase of the project is slated for completion in 2013 at a cost of US$279 million. A second phase of the project will boost annual receiving capacity to 4.5 million tonnes upon completion in 2017. That phase will cost an estimated US$1.27 billion.
