Pakistani government takes active role in exploration and development

The Pakistani government has taken measures to further enhance oil and gas development and production in the country, Daily Times reported August 25. During the past four years, the government has drilled some 89 exploratory wells and, according to the Ministry of Petroleum, has added approximately 230 million cubic feet of gas per day to the national distribution network.
