Pakistan will go from no LNG regas terminals to three floating units by 2014, Daily Times optimistically predicted July 22. Global Energy Infrastructure Pakistan Energy Corporation EVTL and Pakistan Gas-Port will establish separate import terminals by October 2012, December 2012 and 2014, respectively. Each, expected to cost approximately US$200 million and regasify up to 0.5 billion cubic feet of LNG daily, will be located within the jurisdiction of the Port Qasim Industrial Area. The infrastructure will be established on a build-operate-transfer (BOT) basis by the private sector.
