Chile's Quintero LNG terminal to expand

GNL Quintero will undergo a US$30 million expansion, Oil& Gas Journal reported August 30. Capacity at the terminal, owned by a consortium of Enagas (40 percent), Empresa Nacional de Petroleo (20 percent), Endesa (20 percent), and Metrogas (20 percent), will increase to roughly 4.4 million tonnes a year. The engineering, procurement, and construction contract is slated to be awarded during second-quarter of 2013 and, according to project spokesman Alejandro Palma, will likely be ready sometime in 2015.
